They show artificial characters in situations we all seem to know. Shot using just one camera position, actors are staged in minimal scenes, often almost spinning out of control, their hysteria in sharp contrast with the formal setting. The recited texts – spoken by motionless actors, and in staccato – create confusion, seeming to blur visible and imaginary things in a dimension where time seems to have an entirely different presence.
