Workshop Collaborative Structures

Artists Bart Stuart & Klaar van der Lippe warmly welcome you for a two-day workshop about collaborating and jointly organizing. How can we share responsibilities and authorship without falling into a bland conversation about culture or mediocrity?

In the artworld the ego seems to excel. The emphasis here, is on the individual superstars. But Bart & Klaar believe in the star quality of collaborative structures, and in exchange and pollination that emphasizes not the individual ability, but that of the group. The workshop is open to anyone who is interested. This means you don't have to be an artist to participate! The content is in this case determined by the audience, and a diverse group therefore means diverse content.

Day 1, Wednesday 21 September from 12.00 - 16.30:

• Introduction and acquaintance • Short lecture about the work and practice of Bart & Klaar • Making definitions collaboratively: what are we talking about? What is needed? • Practicum: think - and work exercises. Individual deepening • Excursion outside • Reflection on result

Day 2, Thursday 22 September from 10.00 - 15.00:

• Introduction and acquaintance • Share experiences of day 1 • Shifting of focus • Practicum: apply experiences of day 1. Further deepening and concretizing • Vademecum: How does this apply to my own life and practice?
